RESET: my new favourite word I use daily!
RESET: my new favourite word I use daily!
It reminds me that we always have the opportunity to pause, breathe and reset at any moment throughout our day.
I was listening to one of Yolanda’s @bauhauswife videos from her freebirthing program I had purchased when I was pregnant with Theos and she shared something about resetting after each contraction
This is what I found myself doing after each contraction or what I prefer to call a wave and found this so powerful in supporting me to continue on through my birthing process.
One day postpartum with my baby girl just a couple months ago I was having a challenging moment in my day (in the past I would have called this a challenging DAY)
In that moment I realised I could use the same concept of the RESET here. 😍
I took a moment to pause and breathe. I realised that this is just like a contraction or wave in my day and doesn’t have to dictate the rest of my day, week or life.
I can RESET right here, right now.
And so that’s what I did.
I acknowledged how we all go through these waves throughout our day/week and lives and it’s okay. It’s temporary.
I have continued to use this incredible word and have been amazed at how refreshing it is.
I can reset when I’m feeling triggered.
When Liam and I have a disagreement or a heated moment.
I can use it when my son triggers me.
When I get reactive.
When I feel overwhelmed.
When I’m in self judgement.
When I experience negative self-talk and getting caught in a story.
RESET is seriously my best friend!
It reminds me to meet myself with compassion and know that it’s okay to feel what I’m feeling, experience what I’m experiencing and I can CHOOSE to reset at anytime.
